Shipping & Delivery

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes — Metals Farm offers free shipping on all orders across Canada and the United States. No minimum order required.

How long does delivery take?

Standard delivery takes 5–10 business days across Canada and the USA. Large gate orders shipped by freight may take 7–14 business days depending on your location. You will receive a tracking number once your order ships.

Do you ship to rural areas?

Yes — we ship to every city, town, village, and rural area across Canada and the USA. Contact us if you have a remote location and we'll confirm delivery details.

Custom Sizing

What sizes are available?

Our driveway gates are available from 5H × 10W ft up to 5H × 20W ft in standard sizes. Custom sizes beyond these dimensions are available — contact us with your exact measurements.

Can I order a gate in a custom size?

Can I get custom post sizes?

Yes — posts can be upgraded in size. Contact us directly to discuss your requirements and pricing.

Gate Openers & Automation

Are your gates compatible with automatic gate openers?

Yes — all Metals Farm driveway gates are compatible with all major automatic gate opener brands including LiftMaster, FAAC, Ghost Controls, US Automatic, and others.

Is a gate opener included with my purchase?

No — gate openers are not included. The gate is opener-ready and pre-drilled/aligned for easy installation of your preferred opener brand.

Are locks or latches included?

No — locks and latches are not included with the gate. We recommend purchasing a heavy-duty gate latch or lock separately based on your security requirements.

Installation

Is professional installation required?

Professional installation is recommended for best results, especially for automated gate systems. However, many customers successfully install our gates themselves with basic tools and two people.

Do you offer installation services?

Yes — professional installation is available in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). For installation inquiries, contact us at info@metalsfarm.ca or +1 (365) 833-0203.

What comes in the package?

Each driveway gate package includes: left and right gate panels, two 4×4 inch posts, hinges (welded and aligned on gates and posts), and post caps. Hardware for automation is not included.

Materials & Finish

What material are your gates made from?

All Metals Farm gates are made from heavy-duty galvanized steel, engineered for a 25+ year lifespan in all Canadian and USA weather conditions including harsh winters, rain, and UV exposure.

What finish options are available?

Gates are available in standard black powder coat. Other colour options are available for an additional $299 — contact us to choose your preferred RAL colour.

Are your gates rust-proof?

Yes — our gates are galvanized and powder coated for maximum rust and corrosion resistance. They are designed for year-round outdoor use in all climates.

My gate arrived with minor paint scuffs — is this normal?

Yes — gates may require minor touch-up paint due to shipping. This is normal and does not affect the structural integrity or warranty of the gate.

Gate Hardware

What type of hinges do your gates use?

Our gates come with heavy-duty hinges that are welded and pre-aligned on both the gate panels and posts for precise installation and smooth operation.

Can I add a lock to my gate?

Yes — our gates are compatible with standard gate locks and latches. Locks are not included but can be purchased separately from any hardware store.

Corten Steel Fire Pits

What is corten steel?

Corten steel (also called weathering steel) is a special alloy that forms a natural rust-like patina on the surface when exposed to weather. This patina acts as a protective layer, preventing deeper corrosion and giving the fire pit its distinctive warm, rustic appearance.

Do corten fire pits require maintenance?

Minimal maintenance is required. The natural patina that forms is protective. We recommend emptying ash after use and covering the pit during extended periods of non-use.

What sizes are available for fire pits?

Our corten steel fire pits are available in 36", 40", 48", and 60" diameters. Some models are also available as combination BBQ/fire pit units.

Fence Panels

What fence panel sizes do you offer?

Our steel fence panels are available in 5ft H × 8ft W and 6ft H × 8ft W with 9ft or 10ft posts. Multiple styles are available including flat top, spear top, and ring designs.

Are posts included with fence panels?

Yes — fence panel packages include the panel and posts. Post height varies by panel style (9ft or 10ft posts).

Can fence panels be used with your driveway gates?

Yes — our fence panels are designed to complement our driveway and pedestrian gates for a complete perimeter solution.

Pedestrian Gates

What are pedestrian gates used for?

Pedestrian gates (also called walk-through or man gates) are single-person entry gates designed for foot traffic access alongside a driveway gate or fence. They are ideal for yards, gardens, and side entrances.

Can pedestrian gates be automated?

Pedestrian gates can be fitted with compatible pedestrian gate openers. Contact us for recommendations based on your specific model.

Returns & Warranty

What is your return policy?

Please contact us at info@metalsfarm.ca within 7 days of receiving your order if there is a defect or damage issue. We handle each case individually to ensure customer satisfaction.

What if my order arrives damaged?

If your order arrives with significant damage beyond minor paint scuffs, please photograph the damage immediately and contact us at info@metalsfarm.ca or +1 (365) 833-0203. We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly.
